FIELD: materials handling. SUBSTANCE: device has two-axle truck 2 with load-gripping mechanism suspended from truck which is installed on base 1. Truck motion mechanism is made of two traction chains forming two horizontally closed branches 7. Fitted on one of branches is load-gripping mechanism 3, and on other branch, counterweight 8. Truck axles are made in form of shafts furnished with brakes. Wheels are installed for free rotation on ends of shafts. Sprockets of traction chains are rigidly secured on one shaft, and gear wheel engaging with toothed rack is mounted on other shaft. Toothed rack is stationary fitted on base. Load-gripping mechanism has two photorelays. Optical axes of relays are arranged at different levels in parallel to each other. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 cl, 5 dwg
