FIELD: aeronautical engineering. SUBSTANCE: external load sling system for securing loads to helicopter 1 has slings 2 and 3 with grips 4 and 5, support 6, load-bearing beam 8 and unit 7 for orientation of load in horizontal plane. Support 6 and load-bearing beam 8 are secured to helicopter 1 and slings 2 and 3 are secured on load-bearing beam 8 which is made for rotation about support 6 in horizontal plane; unit 7 for orientation of load in horizontal plane is made in form of drive arranged on support 6 and kinematically linked with load-bearing beam 8. Besides that, drive is made in form of two winches 12 and 13 located on support 6 at diametrically opposite points and connected by means of two flexible couplings 14 and 15 with two sections of drum 16 secured axially on load-bearing beam 8.
