FIELD: analytic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: sample is dissolved in aqueous solution of alkali. Then glacial acetic acid and 10% aqueous solution of potassium iodide are added. Thus separated iodine is titrated after sustaining within 10 min in dark place. The process is carried out with the help of aqueous solution of sodium thiosulfate, starch solution being added at the final step of titration. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method. 3 tbl
