FIELD: drying engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus falls into the category of chamber driers and has a charging means mounted for feeding the product to be dried into the chamber. The charging means has the form of a travelling reversible feed-conveyor provided with a chute. The chute is operable to stop against the feed windows provided in chambers with each window having an U-shaped apron attached to it. A retarding chute is mounted in one of the legs with deflection troughs attached to them in a cascade relation. Each deflection trough incorporates two sections. The upper one is vertical and has a window positioned to receive the material from the overlying deflection trough. The lower one is formed as an arcuated bottom. Both upper and a lower sections are joined with their sides so as apron is freely suspended between them. EFFECT: reduced hazard of crushing and hulling spadices. 2 cl, 4 dwg
