FIELD: induction welding. SUBSTANCE: processed edges are heated in high-frequency electromagnetic field. The edges are folded keeping maximum welding gap equal to 0.25 to 1.2 of sheet thickness with excess internal edge over internal one within 0.5 to 2 of sheet thickness. Welding circuit is located in horizontal plane, and the inductor is placed inside the welding circuit. EFFECT: welding joint of good quality due to transferring welding process in more preferable lower or overhead position. 3 dwg
