FIELD: production of strontium compounds. SUBSTANCE: apatite is treated by nitric acid. Thus prepared nitrate extract is separated and condensed. Condensed portion of nitrate-phosphate solution is separated by decantation. The process is followed by filtration and by cooling to isolate tetrahydrate of calcium nitrate as crystals. Thus prepared crystals are washed by nitric acid and recycled for processing apatite. Condensed portion of nitrate extract is diluted by nitric acid. Thus obtained mixture is filtered to isolate desired product. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method. 1 tbl
