FIELD: analysis of materials. SUBSTANCE: method of kinetic detection of gold includes use of its oxidation reaction with indicating reagent in salt-acid medium with subsequent calorimetric study of solution with account for change of its optical density in time. 5% aqueous solution of phenylamine added to analyzed solution in volumetric proportion 1:25 is used as indicating reagent and oxidation reaction is conducted in buffer solution at pH=3.
