FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: process is aimed at creation of flexible electric insulation material with enhanced flexibility, electrical and mechanical strength. Fabric is manufactured from twisted basalt filaments, diameter, not less than 9 μ with linear density in warp 100-250 texes x 1 x 2, in weft 100-250 texes x 1 x 4 with multilayer weaving 1-3 mm thick. Fabric is impregnated with epoxy binder containing silicasole with following proportion of components; per cent by mass: epoxy binder 60-80, silicasole 20-40. EFFECT: expanded application field, enhanced operational characteristics.
