FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: clamping device for the guillotine has a clamp, extra clamps and a wedge mechanism of displacement. The latter is connected with a power cylinder mounted on the guillotine case and is made in the shape of a comb with wedge recesses according to the number of clamps. The comb is hinged with the power cylinder rod and is mounted for displacement in the guideways of the guillotine case parallel to the cutting edge of the lower blade. Each clamp is mounted in the guillotine case and is made as a bar with a roller on one of its ends and a spring-loaded head on the other. The roller of each clamp is disposed for interacting with the corresponding wedge recess of the comb. The spring-loaded head of each clamp is mounted for displacement along the bar axle.
