FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: method for field determination of shear strength parameters of rocks in rock mass includes measurement of transverse section elements before and after landslide shift, determination of parameters of real glide surface of landslide, rock density, acting stresses at the moment of shift, and complication of two equations of limit equilibrium with consideration of data obtained, which are used for calculation of angle of internal friction and adhesion. Measured on ground samples or in rock mass by field shears with a special portable device are peak and steady strength directly in zone of main deforming horizon or on landslide glide surface to determine on the basis of these measurements three coefficients of strength parameters during shift: adhesion, internal friction angle and total resistance to shear dividing respective parameters of shift obtained during shift at constant speed by values obtained at fixed peak strength. These coefficients are inserted into the second equation of limit equilibrium characterizing stability of slope after onset of landslide shift, and two equations of limit equilibrium are solved to obtain true values of internal friction angle and adhesion with consideration of scale factor in full extent at the moment of onset of landslide shift. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
