FIELD: chemical technology, production of synthetic rubber. SUBSTANCE: a-methylstyrene is synthesized by alkenylation of benzene with allene and methylacetylene in the presence of zeolite catalyst CaY with silicate modulus 3.4-6.0, at cationic exchange degree of calcium ions for hydrogen 0.1-0.9, under atmospheric pressure, at 140-220 C, time contact is 0.1-0.6 s, at molar ratio of benzene and hydrocarbons (allene and methylacetylene) 1:4. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis. 7 tbl
