FIELD: earth-moving machinery. SUBSTANCE: to implement trench working method aimed at increasing trench section which is done by a number of machines following one another, wheel-type trenching machines are used. Each following machine widens the trench excavated by foregoing machine. Thus specific power and total pace of operation are increased. This method is particularly effective in working compact frozen grounds. There is risk of sliding down into trench digged by foregoing machine which hampers operation and affects adversely driver's behaviour. Invention provides centering of machine relative to axis of trench digged by foregoing machine and guarantees safety of work. EFFECT: increased pace and quality of work. 4 dwg
