FIELD: metal machining. SUBSTANCE: shape is produced from strip by bending shape members, using rollers and producing bent wall, vertical walls and seats. In the case, during initial, intermediate and finishing passes seats and vertical walls of shape are released from contact with upper roller. Besides, during firs four passes slant members of bent wall are additionally released, and during last pass - its horizontal member. During last three passes the member is bent down with successive decreasing radius of bending. As vertical walls achieve 80 deg. angle of bending, lower rollers with round grooves are used to decrease radius of bending between the walls and slant members of bent wall to value, equal to 0.75 - 0.85 of shape thickness. Location of groves corresponds to position of bending areas. During prefinishing pass vertical walls are bent to angle of 89.0 - 89.5 deg. .
