FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes mounting of gear wheel 3 made up as a thin-walled ring with inner tooth and outer shaped surface over working surfaces of the teeth on gear mandrel 2 having centering projection 6 which is coaxial to the gear profile. Flat sheet blank 12 is then centered by this projection and, during axial shifting of mandrel 2, the housing of the reduction gear is formed by rolling up the sheet blank over gear wheel 3. Finally, by plastic deforming of the housing bottom, assembling of the gear wheel with the adapting flange is performed. The flange is mounted from the side of attachment of the reduction gear to the engine. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and increased longevity. 2 cl, 2 dwg
