Information-carrying electric signal picked off output of amplitude-frequency response unit 9 arrives at unit 14 recording maximum amplitude values and is transferred as information about lubricant layer thickness to microprocessor unit 10. The latter also responds to signal informing about rate and rhythm of flaw development coming through second switch 15, low-frequency filter 16, and second analog-to-digital converter 17 and processes it.
