FIELD: pulse load power supply. SUBSTANCE: pulse load power system using energy-storage capacitor for power supply is charged from d.c voltage source via single- or two-phase constant-power converter during constant input power of source within each half-period of inverter transformer output voltage variation taken as average value of many periods of inverter transformer output voltage variation; each phase of converter has inverter and current limiting and metering unit. Novelty is introduction in current limiting and metering unit in system (Claim 1) of second diode valve, secondary winding of inverter transformer arranged most favorably according to claimed expression for determining tap from part W_o of its turns, and new interconnections between its components and in system (Claim 2), introduction of second inverter and second current limiting and metering unit affording nonexplicit hardware and parametric solution of problem greatly improving specific energy characteristics of system due to 1.49 or 2.1 times reduction of installed capacity of d.c. voltage source and inverter transformers as result of 1.29 or 2.1 times increase in their power utilization factor. EFFECT: improved specific energy characteristics of system due to reduction of power of d c voltage source and inverter transformers through increasing their power utilization factor. 2 cl, 5 dwg
