FIELD: mining industry and other industry branches with use of disintegrated materials. SUBSTANCE: roll-type press has four or more rolls, mounted in parallel in pairs. One end roll is secured rigidly, mean rolls may be moved in horizontal direction normally relative to axis of rolls; the other end roll rests upon hydraulic dampers. The material is being fed into a compression zone between end and mean rolls. Due to movable mounting of the mean rolls oscillations of breaking effort between one pair of rolls may be transmitted and smoothed because of presence of ore layer between rolls of second pair. Pressure transfer from one pair of rolls to the other pair with use of movable intermediate rolls allows to provide high degree of efficiency of the press at minimum pressure on its bearings.
