FIELD: locking devices. SUBSTANCE: padlock has body with locking mechanism, arched member and insert with retainer and two similar U-shaped parts disposed adjacent to lock edges. U-shaped parts embrace arched member at its front and rear sides and cover space between arched member and lock body except for space for door eyes. Horizontal walls of U-shaped parts of insert are supported by lock body and provided with slot. Each slot embraces both ends of arched member from inner side. Retainer is positioned in cavities of U-shaped parts between body and lock arched member. Ends U-shaped part is provided with protrusion. Each protrusion is directed towards center of lock so that webs embracing lock arched member are formed. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. 4 cl, 22 dwg
