FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method for continuous vacuumizing of continuously-cast metal involves delivering metal from a vacuum chamber into an intermediate ladle through an additional branch pipe. As the level of metal in the intermediate ladle rises above the lower ends of branch pipes and after sealing the vacuum chamber with liquid metal, the metal in the intermediate ladle is vacuumized by circulation with inert gas delivered into one of the branch pipes. After building a preset residual pressure in the vacuum chamber, concurrently with circulation vacuumizing in the intermediate ladle, the metal is treated in the vacuum chamber. The metal is delivered to the intermediate ladle into a separate central zone divided by the end zones accommodating casting cups. The metal is delivered into these end zones from the central zone at the level from the bottom of the intermediate ladle corresponding to 0.4-0.8 the branch pipe immersion depth under the metal level in the intermediate ladle. The device for realizing the method for continuous vacuumizing of continuously-cast metal comprises a casting ladle, a vacuum chamber with a branch pipe installed in the vacuum chamber bottom and entering the working space of the intermediate ladle, a vacuum line, and casting cups installed in the bottom of the intermediate ladle. The vacuum chamber has an additional branch pipe with delivery pipelines while the internal space of the intermediate ladle is divided into three zones by transverse partitions whose height is 0.6-0.8 the depth of the working space of the intermediate ladle.
