FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: seal has split sealing rings and non-split intermediate ring which are housed in the groove made in the combined piston and are in contact with the cylinder over the whole height. The intermediate ring is received in additional ring groove whose wall is defined by face surface of one of the piston parts. The intermediate ring provide reliable sealing of space behind the ring and locks of the sealing rings. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 1 dwg
