FIELD: radiolocation. SUBSTANCE: method provides for radiation and reception of pulse radar signals by two similar antennas polarized in linear symmetry, matching of phase centers of antennas and turning of one of them through 90 deg in plane of aperture. Then measurement of phase shift of received signals of vertical and horizontal polarization is conducted and elevation angle is found by solution of transcendental equation determining relation of this phase shift to elevation angle of target by known parameters of radar and earth surface close to antenna.
