FIELD: foundry engineering. SUBSTANCE: in the process of mixture ramming with a multiplunger head vertical columns of mixture are rammed under each head press footplate. The shortest mixture columns placed over the pattern become tighter first. In the process of squeezing moulding mixture is additionally treated through each press footplate of multiplunger head by means of synchronous vibrating or periodical shock impulses directed along action line of each footplate. Mixture may be additionally treated after its ramming. Device for the given method has multiplunger press head of active or passive action. By means of rods the head press footplates are connected with pistons placed in cylinders of press footplates, working table and drive for its movement. Cylinders form a hydraulic system. Besides device has plunger, inducer of vibrations and periodical shock impulses affecting the plunger free end along the axis, additional chamber and a moving member with fast moving drive. Plunger is placed in a hydraulic system of the head. Volume of additional chamber corresponds to the total volume of the head hydraulic housing. Working volume of the chamber may be changed by moving member. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg
