FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method for mining thick mineral deposits includes driving of sublevels, extraction of ore by rooms of increased height across ore body strike, driving of cutout raise in each substage from boundary with lying side to overlying substage, formation of slot with widening of cutout raise up to contact with lying side, establishment of compensation stage at lying side with widening of slot to width of room, sublevel mining of ore of neighboring and overlying sections onto formed compensation space; passage of extracted ore to lower horizon and to slope bottom and filling of worked-out space. Thickness of section is taken equal to maximum length of slot. Simultaneously with extraction of ore resources of section, trench undercut is formed by breaking upper part of slot of underlying substage. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 5 dwg
