FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: upon completion of mining, drainage system is arranged in open pit area. Continuous footings are erected for paired retaining walls and longitudinal partitions. Continuous footings of entire area of pit bottom are covered with water-proof load-bearing plates. Simultaneously from several points work is carried out to erect walls forming paired retaining walls and longitudinal partitions. As walls are erected, the space between them is filled with production wastes. When walls reach the preset elevation, they are covered with upper floors having manholes and damp courses. Then, free space up to surface elevation is filled with potential fertile layer of soil and chernozem. Free space of pit is filled with storage products and objects.
