Bottoms 3 of vegetation trays 1 are arranged higher than the bottom 4 of intermediate container 2. Bottoms 3 of vegetation trays 1 have filtrate-collecting pits 5 communicating with intermediate container 2 which accommodates a vertically-movable pipe union 6 with inlet elbow 7 of siphon 8 whose outlet bend 9 is brought out of container 2 and has a pointed chamfered end 10. Upper part of pipe union 6 communicates with the source of nutrient solution. Outlet bend 9 of siphon 8 has a number of holes 13 with plugs 14.
