FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: furnace has a lined heating bell furnished with torches and smoke-exhaust flues with an air ejector, heat-resistant muffle, stand with a circulating fan driven by an electric motor, and guide vanes as well as a water cooling bell, provided with a cooling water supply system with a fan, water cooling cover with holes and annular manifold with tubes. The heat- resistant muffle made in the form of truncated cone, whose larger base is directed towards the stand, with the side walls inclined to the furnace vertical axis at angle of 5 to 10 deg provides an accelerated and uniform decrease of heat content of different sections of the side surface of the roll pile during the whole period of metal cooling in the furnace.
