FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: rotor line has frame carrying charging rotor, N-positional processing rotor with removable tool units, with number of tool units corresponding to the number of positions, transportation rotor engageable with charging rotor and discharge rotor engageable with processing rotor. All rotors are mounted on frame in predetermined processing sequence. Charging rotor is further provided with a set of charging devices for feeding billets of a wide range of billets, with each charging device is associated with its own tool unit. Transportation rotor has n-l-positions and is engageable directly with discharge rotor. All rotors, except for processing rotor, have manipulators, each serving only its own rotor. Each gripping member of manipulator, when necessary, serves only its own charging device and associated position of one of rotors. EFFECT: increased efficiency of rotor line by maximum flexibility and versatility. 3 cl, 2 dwg
