FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: pulper comprises a casing accommodating a screen drum and a drive shaft with beaters. The drum surface is corrugated on a helical line, with depth of corrugations diminishing along the movement of feedstock. The profile of corrugations is made up of two linear lengths connected at a right angle, the larger of the two lengths facing the beaters and the smaller one, against the movement of the feedstock, and a line free of breaks or bends so that the tangent line to said line forms an angle of not over 90 deg at the points of contact with the linear lengths.
