FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring temperature of end wall of blast-furnace tuyere by means of built-in thermoelectric couple; measuring temperature variation rate and temperature difference of cooling water at inlet and outlet of tuyere. Gas temperature in tuyere zone is determined by calculating in accordance with equation, which allows heat removal value on tuyere, thermal-physical properties of tuyere material and its geometric characteristics, as well as parameters of thermoelectric couple and position of thermoelectric couple to be taken into account. EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing optimum thermal conditions in blast- furnace. 2 dwg
