FIELD: water transport. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has planetary mechanism with output shafts and crescent-shaped plates mounted on output shafts. In the process of sorting logs the speed of planetary mechanism is slowed down and output shafts with crescent plates are caused to rotate for withdrawing logs from main sorting corridor and urging them into sorting yard. When planetary mechanism body speed is increased, it is urged to rotate about axis of rotation to provide movement of logs along main sorting corridor.
