FIELD: investigation of high-speed percussion phenomena. SUBSTANCE: installation uses an evacuated chamber, and target and device for reducing the damage to the target by explosive charge detonation products located in it. Device used to reduce damage to the target has a thick-walled cylindrical housing made with a through axial space for axial arrangement in it in a spaced relation of the explosive throwing charge, perforated plate rigidly attached to the external surface of the housing and positioned perpendicularly to its axis, a stack of grids installed in parallel with the perforated plate and rigidly connected to one another and to the chamber walls, and to the adjacent grids are misaligned, and projections of grid openings correspond to the bindings of the adjacent grids. Hollow metal are installed along the installation axis, with the vertexes facing the housing. Holes with a diameter equal to the maximum diameter of the used throwing charge are made in the cones and grid bindings in alignment with the installation axis. The installation is furnished with a device for initiation of the throwing charge made as a coherent oscillator and optical system located outside the evacuated chamber. A port-hole closed with high- strength glass is made in the chamber wall coaxially with the holes in grid bindings and cones. The optical system is made for variation of light flux diameter, depending on the diameter of the used throwing charge. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness. 1 dwg
