FIELD: refrigerating engineering; mainly in condensers of ammonia refrigerating plants. SUBSTANCE: condenser has housing 1 in which the following components are arranged: drip pan, water distributor 5, sprinkling device, heat exchange tubes 13 for condensing cooling agent located under it, fan 3, sump 2 and water pump 11. Heat exchange tubes 13 for condensing cooling agent are mounted vertically and are grouped in heat exchange sections; each section is provided with inlet horizontal header 15 and outlet horizontal header 16 for condensing cooling agent and additional heat exchange tubes 14 arranged inside heat exchange tubes 13 for condensing cooling agent coaxially relative to them; upper part of these tubes is connected with water distributor 5 and lower part is in communication with sump 3; heat exchange sections are located at some distance from each other sufficient to give access for the attending personnel.
