FIELD: coal production. SUBSTANCE: plane is moved along face conveyor, and coal mining is performed on the basis of predetermined depth of cutting. As the plane moves, the conveyor is fed to the face to predetermined cutting depth by moving pistons of hydraulic cylinders. Piston stroke of each cylinder is measured in moving face conveyor. Control for face conveyor feed is carried out according to measured signal. Strut is removed from timber frame on moving cylinder piston by a value corresponding to predetermined summary stroke. Then timber frame is drawn to the conveyor by a maximum stroke of cylinder piston, strutted off against roof and ground. Comparison between sums of partial strokes of the cylinders in adjacent timber frames is fulfilled in controlling face conveyor feed. Timber frame moving and face securing are performed in series according to predetermined queue when concurrent achieving maximum total stroke by the cylinders. EFFECT: high productivity. 6 cl, 11 dwg
