FIELD: optical industry. SUBSTANCE: optical elements are mounted in mounts which are tied together. Sampling is made along the peripheral part of edges of optical elements till achieving finish polishing of working surfaces. Widths of thermal compensators are adjusted along the distance between side surfaces till getting space, which does not excess value of minimal tolerance for decentering surfaces of optical element. Then treatment is finished of working surfaces of optical elements, and thermal compensators are set corresponding to samples. Then optical elements are mounted into the sets.
