FIELD: lighting engineering. SUBSTANCE: filament lamp includes base, transparent envelope, spiral luminous element divided with dielectric inserts into sections and mounted in holder for movement and successive switching on of each section to prolong service life of lamp. End parts of holder have ring holes to pass through dielectric inserts. Luminous element is fitted with limiters which size exceeds those of ring holes.
