FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: before explosive works beginning gamma-gamma logging of explosive boreholes is exercised and depending on logging results, average radioactivity is calculated. After explosion average radioactivity of exploded rocks is measured and relative increase of radioactivity of mountain rocks after explosion is measured, depending on which decision is made about value of loosening factor. In the case, increase of rocks radioactivity after explosion is connected with decrease of their density and increase of emanating factor. EFFECT: method is effective in determination of rocks loosening factor.
