FIELD: hydraulics. SUBSTANCE: gears of the outer engagement are mounted inside the cylindrical bores made in the housing to define spaces of high and low pressure. Symmetrically arranged ring grooves are made in face sides of the gears. Dummy cylindrical openings are made in the housing sides facing the gear faces. The depth of the ring grooves varies over the periphery in the longitudinal direction. The profile of the groove is defined by alternating flat areas. The depth of the parts positioned between the areas decreases in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the gears. Variation of the depth obeys linear or power law.
