FIELD: press-forging engineering. SUBSTANCE: safety device of the crank press from overloading in force is mounted in the slide block and is regulated by the force-measuring device containing a ball-type position catch of the hoisted connecting rod relative to the slide block. The safety device has the enhanced rigidity at the expense of the step bearing resting on the balls located along the exterior and interior surfaces of the conical circular boss. The balls are fixed by the piston of the pneumatic cylinder and are connected with it through a yoke by the central pin. There are grooves on the piston and on the pin for placing the balls at the moment of disposal of the air from the pneumatic cylinder and for the safety device response.
