RAIL CAR FOR VISCOUS OIL PRODUCTS Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; transportation of viscous oil products. SUBSTANCE: car has bearing frame 1 and reservoir 2 for product mounted on frame. Reservoir has cover 4 which can be removed for loading, unloading and cleaning of car. Removable car roof has filler cap and safety and inlet valve, and reservoir has draining device. Car is furnished with stop grilles 3, and removable cover has centering frame providing quick and easy fitting of cover on car reservoir. Found on car roof are lugs 7 to secure crane slings when cover is to be removed from car. Lugs 7 are kinematically coupled with locking members (roof locking hooks 6) so that when removing the cover from car, it gets automatically released and when fitting the cover on car, it gets automatically locked which also facilitates execution of indicated operations. Car has support sheets located in car reservoir and forming the spaces connected by pipeline with shutoff valves mounted on car frame.
