DEVICE FOR TWO-SIDED CUTTING OF RING-SHAPED BILLETS ON A LATHE Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has two tool holders fixed on the transverse slides of the lathe and located from different sides of the spindle axis of the lathe and the drive for the radial displacement of the transverse slides. One of the tool holders is mounted on the transverse slides by means of additional transverse guides and is equipped with an additional drive in the form of a hydraulic cylinder. The housing of the hydraulic cylinder is secured on that of the tool holder. The rod is fixed on the additional transverse guides. The hydraulic cylinder is equipped with the fuel system made in the form of a pump unit, throttle and a gate valve. The rod end of the hydraulic cylinder is directly connected with the pump unit. The above head end is connected with the pump unit by means of the throttle. The gate valve is mounted in the escape channel of the above head end and contacts with of one the arms of the additionally introduced rocker arms hinged on the longitudinal slides of the lathe. The other rocker arm interacts with the transverse slides of the lathe. The device has the mechanism of fixed shifting of the hinge along the rocker arm. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 cl, 4 dwg
