FIELD: decorative work. SUBSTANCE: decorative pictures or patterns are made on mirrors by applying a protective coating to the glass surface. Then part of said coating is removed to correspond with the desired pattern. Parts of glass with removed coating are subjected to abrasive effect to a desired depth. Next the other surfaces of glass are freed from coating and subjected to abrasive action to a depth differing from the first depth. This produces a counter- relief image which is then sprayed over with a metal layer. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
