FIELD: metal pressure forming. SUBSTANCE: die assembly includes a changeable multiopening die and multiduct splinter. Symmetry axis of the die openings are arranged uniformly along a circle with radius, equal to 0.5-0.7 of a radius of the die. Symmetry axis of ducts of the splinter are arranged uniformly along a circle with a radius, equal to 0.5-0.6 of the radius of the die. Before beginning of an extrusion process the splinter is being mounted in a special seat of the press. Depending upon a number and dimensions of articles, being extruded, the die is being placed on the splinter the number of openings of the die corresponds to a number of articles, being extruded. Then a container with a blank is being moved for extruding articles, that are being fed from the die into the ducts of the splinter. Upon extruding of two articles the last are being passed through the ducts 6.9 of the splinter, upon extruding of three articles through ducts 6, 8, 10 or 7, 9, 11; upon extruding of four articles through ducts 7,8,10,11, upon extruding of six articles through ducts 6,7,8,9,10,11. A total area of cross sections of ducts, having large radius, is equal to (0.11- 0.14) of an area of cross section of the splinter, a total area of cross section of ducts, having small radius, is equal to (0.15-0.19) of the area of the cross section of the splinter.
