FIELD: welding engineering. SUBSTANCE: welding machine has electrodes and electrode seam-indexing rotation drive. Electrodes are rotated by engine 7 through electromagnetic friction clutch 8, connecting coupling 9, reducer 10, toothed gears 11 and 12, distribution box 13 and pivot shafts 14 and 15. Code detector 17 with rotor is connected with distribution box through intermediate reduction gear 16 with transmission ratio providing equal rotational speed for both detector rotor and electrode. Code detector electrically connected with electromagnetic clutch 8 and adapted for continuous detection of electrode angular position, comparison of actual angular position of electrodes with predetermined position generates command for switching drive from motion state into braking state and vice versa. Electrodes may be composed of sectors with different thickness. EFFECT: increased efficiency and precision in providing welding points. 4 cl, 5 dwg
