FIELD: measuring equipment. SUBSTANCE: meter is comprised of four inclined posts whose ends carry four hydroacoustic converters. Some of these converters are installed parallel to the axis of the outer ring of the outer gimbal suspension of a ferrum-probe converter while the other ones, parallel to the axis of its inner ring. Each hydroacoustic converter is made as a pair of piezoelements whose planes are set at an angle of 120 deg. Arrangement of measurement axes over the perimeter of the meter working volume dispenses with various posts in its center. Elimination of structural members in the meter internal volume and a considerable reduction of the number of posts diminish the level of disturbances of natural flow which promotes reliability of measurement data. The hydroacoustic converters are installed on posts which are inclined to the flow and whose hydrodynamic resistance is smaller than that of the posts arranged square to the flow. The design of the meter is simplified by making all angles between the measuring axes of the three-dimensional quadrangle equal to 60 deg which provides for identical design of all the four hydroacoustic converters wherein the piezoelements are set at an angle of 120 deg. The provision of four inclined posts supporting the hydroacoustic converters also simplifies the design of the current meter. EFFECT: improved design. 3 dwg
