FIELD: amphibious vehicles. SUBSTANCE: water-jet propeller has mechanical drive and consists of impeller, water-jet propeller cover with nozzle, planetary reduction gear, epicycle thrown into engagement with satellites which are mounted on axles of carrier arranged in housing of reduction gear and shaft of impeller drive and linked with water-jet propeller cover on one side and with locking device on other side; locking device consists of clutch with external rim mounted on splines of transfer shaft, two internal toothed rims made in housing of reduction gear and drive; clutch and internal toothed rims have non-symmetrical location of teeth. When water-jet propeller is cut in, clutch of locking device gets engaged with one of external toothed rims made in housing of reduction gear and locks carrier of planetary reduction gear and cover of water-jet propeller with nozzle in position for ahead or astern motion.
