FIELD: production of caprolactam. SUBSTANCE: cyclohexanone is oxidized, the process being carried out in two reactors. All initial quantity of cyclohexanone is fed into the first reactor, the process is carried out in the presence of hydroxylamine sulfate. Reaction mixture is separated in organic and aqueous layer. Organic layer is fed to the second reactor for formation oximes, thus prepared oxime being rearranged into caprolactam. Base impurities from the aqueous layer are hydrolyzed to cyclohexanone, thus obtained mixture is fed for separation of organic components. During said hydrolysis pH of aqueous layer is maintained not more 3.5. EFFECT: improves efficiency of method. 2 cl, 2 dwg
