FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: in the process for preparing deparaffined oil and solid hydrocarbons by treatment of oil fractions with solvent in the presence of additive, the latter is mixture of organobetonite which is essentially product of reaction of bentonite clay with quaternary ammonium salts containing not more than 3 wt % water, calcium or barium alkylsalicylate or sulfonate in 1: 10-100 ratio. The additive is used in concentration of 0.00005-0.005 wt % calculated per the oil fraction. EFFECT: improved properties of the deparaffined oils and solid hydrocarbons. 4 tbl
