FIELD: automobile construction. SUBSTANCE: radiator cooling surface is formed by seamless high-finned aluminum tubes with built-in plastic rods, which are twisted in helical line. Tube inner surfaces are covered with pyrolytic chromium. Tubes are fixed in supporting plates by positioning tube ends with shorter fins in annular dovetail channels made in supporting plate openings. Usage of such type of connection allows toxic and complex method of radiator production to be eliminated and contamination of inner surfaces of tubes to be reduced. EFFECT: increased technological efficiency, enhanced reliability in operation, reduced production cost, increased compactness of cooling surfaces and high level of automation. 2 cl, 6 dwg
