FIELD: petroleum and gas extractive industries. SUBSTANCE: the invention permits using the composition on greater scale of 5-110 C, and increases its sand retaining, sedimentation and separation ability. In order to speed up preparation of viscoelastic composition, 1% gel solution of polyacrylamide redialised with γ rediation and 20% solution of condensed sulphite-alcoholic vinasse are prepared, 1 kg of viscoelastic composition is prepared by dissolving successively under agitation 0.05-0.30 wt % (0.5-3g) potassium bichromate, 5-25 g of 20% condensed sulphite alcoholic vinasse. This value corresponds to 0.1-0.5 wt % (1-5g) calculated as dry matter and 300-500 g of 1% solution of radialised polyacrylamide. The system is diluted with water in amount of 472.0-694.5 ml (98.7-99.55 wt %). EFFECT: improved properties of the viscoelastic composition. 6 dwg, 1 tbl
