SUBSTANCE: method relates to selective motion of unripened flowing gel of cross-linked polymer through the area of nearest drill well with lower water bearing bed with liquid communication to this area. The method is realized through pumping flowing gel of cross-linked polymer in that area, and the gel and gas in the upper part. Gas density is much lower than that of the unripened gel. Unripened flowing gel has water soluble acrylamide-bearing polymer, cross linking cation of polyvalent metal, and water. Salt is used as cross linking agent. The salt has chromium or aluminum, or iron, or zirconium cation. Gas immiscible with unripened flowing gel, for example, nitrogen or natural gas is used as the gas. EFFECT: high efficiency. 6 cl
